Hey everyone! I’m currently picking out parts for my new mid-range gaming rig and I’ve hit a bit of a wall with the power supply. I’m looking at 750W because it seems like the sweet spot for headroom without spending a fortune on a 1000W monster.

Right now, my build features a Ryzen 5 7600X and an RTX 4070 Super. I know 650W might technically cut it, but I’d rather have that extra buffer for efficiency and maybe some future upgrades. I’ve been looking at the Corsair RM750e and the Seasonic Focus GX, but honestly, the sheer amount of options is starting to get a bit overwhelming. I really want something with an 80 Plus Gold rating and fully modular cables to keep my cable management clean in a compact mid-tower.

Reliability is my top priority—I definitely don’t want to risk a cheap unit frying my components! Does anyone have personal experience with a specific model that’s exceptionally quiet and has a solid warranty? What would you say is the absolute best 750W PSU currently on the market for a balanced mid-range build?

tbh safety is everything... u really dont want a unit taking out ur 4070 Super. Here's what I recommend comparing: * EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G6, 80 Plus Gold 750W: very reliable with high-end internals and a 10-year warranty. * MSI MPG A750G PCIE5 750W 80 Plus Gold: actually better value since it includes the native 12VHPWR cable for your GPU. the MSI is probably the safer, more practical bet for long-term health. gl!

Sooo, I saw this earlier and i gotta say... I feel u. I've been building PCs for like 15 years and honestly, I learned the hard way that the PSU is the one part u never wanna skimp on. I once bought a "budget" Gold unit that literally started smoking—luckily it didn't take my GPU with it, but man, it was a nightmare. Since your looking for value but actual reliability, here's what I recommend: * Corsair RM750e (2023) Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply - Basically the gold standard for mid-range. Super quiet and usually around $100.
* Seasonic FOCUS GX-750, 750W 80+ Gold, Full-Modular - Seasonic is legendary for a reason. I think they still offer that 10-year warranty?
* Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 750W 80+ Gold Full Modular - This ones PCIe 5.0 ready which is nice for future-proofing. Lesson learned: dont get blinded by the Gold sticker alone. Stick to these and youll be fine!! gl!
