What is the quietest SFX power supply actually available for a compact Mini-ITX build?
Need it for a silent bedroom PC I'm building this weekend, budget around $130. I heard the Corsair SF750 is best but it's out of stock in Canada, and apparently the Cooler Master SFX units have terrible high-pitched fan whine.
I unfortunately tried the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GM 650W SFX last year hoping for a quiet build, but the aggressive fan curve was super disappointing. Under low loads, the fan would randomly cycle on and off with an annoying click. If you can stretch the budget, the Fractal Design Ion Gold SFX-L 650W has been much better with its larger 120mm fan, tho you gotta check your case clearance first.
Over the years, I've built tons of silent ITX rigs. Since the SF750 is out, grab the Corsair SF600 Gold 600W SFX. Mine has been dead silent in my bedroom setup for two years.
