What is the best motherboard for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D?

So I am finally upgrading to the 7800X3D next week and I am super hyped! But man, choosing a motherboard is giving me a headache. I keep seeing people recommend the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX, but then others are complaining about crazy coil whine and long boot times on Gigabyte boards lately which makes me nervous.

Here is what I am looking for:

Budget: under $230 if possible

Needs at least 3 M.2 slots for my drives

Good audio because I use analog headphones

Wi-Fi is a must

Is B650 enough or should I look at X670? What are you guys running with this CPU?

Honestly, B650 is more than enough for the 7800X3D. The CPU is incredibly power efficient, drawing around 80W max during gaming, so you dont need the beefier VRMs or extra PCIe lanes of X670 unless you have specific storage setups. For your budget and specs, I went with the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi for my own build and it has been rock solid. Here is how it lines up with your checklist:

The audio codec is the Realtek ALC4080, which is way better for analog headphones than the basic ALC897 on cheaper boards.
