Honestly im so fed up with my current setup. I bought this cheap Samsung monitor like a year ago thinking 4K is 4K right? WRONG. It doesnt even have HDMI 2.1 so Im stuck playing at 60Hz and the ghosting is actually making me feel motion sick while playing Spiderman. Ive spent the last three hours going down a rabbit hole of reddit threads and youtube reviews and my head is spinning with all these model numbers like the M28U or the LG 27GP95R or whatever. My logic was just buy the most expensive one but then I see people complaining about backlight bleed and now I dont know what to believe.
I need something that actually works with the PS5 features like VRR and HDR because right now everything looks washed out and choppy. Ive got a budget of about $700, maybe I can push to $800 if its actually worth it but I need to order it like... yesterday. I have a long weekend coming up here in Chicago and I just want to sit and play without staring at screen tearing the whole time.
So I was thinking maybe the Sony Inzone M9 because its literally made by Sony? But then I see people saying the local dimming is trash and its overpriced for what you get. Then I looked at the Gigabyte M32U because I want a bigger screen but is 32 inches too big for a desk? Im sitting like two feet away. I just want something that has:
Is there any monitor that actually hits all these marks without being a total gamble? Im honestly ready to just throw this current one out the window because the input lag is killing me in Warzone. Every time I think I found the one, I read a review saying the firmware is broken or the colors are off. Just tell me what actually works...
I spent months testing panels and the LG 27GP95R-B 27 inch 4K 144Hz ended my search.
> Is 32 inches too big for a desk? Im sitting like two feet away. At that distance, 32 inches is right at the limit of comfort. In my experience, the Gigabyte M32U 32 inch 4K 144Hz is a great all-rounder, tho HDR is weak. For a true HDR experience, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 32 inch 4K 165Hz is a better bet. Over the years, I've found that mini-LED is the only way to fix that washed-out gray mess. It handles VRR perfectly on PS5.
