im honestly so fed up with my current setup right now, like seriously ready to lose my mind. my motion blur is driving me insane in cs2 and valorant, ghosting everywhere and half the time i swear im dying before i even see the enemy peek the corner. my logic was that any 144hz screen would be fine when i bought this cheap off-brand VA panel two years ago, but man was i wrong. total garbage for fast motion. so i was thinking about upgrading finally and set aside around 400 bucks max, hopefully scoring something by next weekend since there are some sales going on. i live in chicago if that matters for shipping or whatever. ive been looking at zowie and alienware but my brain is fried from reading a million reddit threads and watching hardware unboxed videos. do i just grab a fast ips panel and call it a day or are the new oleds actually worth eating ramen for a month...

Oh man, ditching a cheap VA panel is gonna feel like getting glasses for the first time! Honestly, ignore the OLEDs for now unless you find a crazy clearance deal because they are way out of your 400 dollar budget. You definitely want a fast IPS panel for those tactical shooters.
- Zowie XL2546K 24.5-inch 240Hz 0.5ms is basically the gold standard for esports. The DyAc technology makes motion look incredibly clear, though the colors are just okay.
- Alienware AW2523HF 25-inch 360Hz 0.5ms is fantastic if you want that extra smoothness. The 360Hz refresh rate is buttery and the IPS colors are way better than the Zowie. I personally love the Alienware for the higher refresh rate, but you seriously cant go wrong with either. Just pull the trigger and enjoy the lack of ghosting!
