Tbh, it really depends on what ur priority is... are u looking for the best possible price or just trying to get it on launch day? It helps to know if ur eligible for any discounts before deciding where to buy. When I got my current setup, I was super tempted to pre-order immediately, but I've found that being cautious pays off. I basically waited a bit and managed to stack some rewards, which made it way more affordable. Here is how I usually approach it: * Check for education portals or student discounts first
* Verify if ur credit card offers extra cash back for certain retailers
* Wait for the first wave of reviews to make sure there aren't any hardware quirks Honestly, rushing in on day one is exciting, but being a bit patient usually helps with the budget in the long run...

@Reply #2 - good point! Waiting for rewards or a proper sale is basically the only way to stay sane with these prices. Honestly it drives me crazy how Apple handles these launches. The base specs are usually such a scam because they keep the entry price low while charging an absolute fortune for essential RAM or storage upgrades. Its like they dont even care about the average user anymore, they just want to maximize margins on the people who cant wait. You might want to be really careful before jumping on a pre-order though. I would suggest waiting for independent thermal testing because these thin chassis designs always struggle with heat under sustained workloads. Its ridiculous that we are expected to pay premium prices for hardware that might throttle within minutes of real work. The quality seems to be going downhill while the marketing gets flashier. It really feels like a cash grab at this point and it makes me so frustrated that there isnt more pushback from the community on these prices.
