Honestly, I'd be real careful about pre-ordering directly from Dell's site. I've had some bad runs with their shipping lately, and their support is just not as good as it used to be. Usually, you're better off waiting for Alienware 18 Area 51 to hit Best Buy or Amazon so you have a better return policy if it arrives with dead pixels or thermal issues. If you really want to jump on it early tho:

  • Keep an eye on the official Dell Alienware landing page around late January.
  • Best Buy usually lists them right before the Q1 launch window.
  • B&H Photo sometimes gets the high-end SKUs early for pre-order. That 4.46kg weight for the 18-inch model is basically a boat anchor, and with those rumored Nvidia RTX 5090m specs, it's gonna run hot. I'd definitely grab something like the IETS GT600 Turbo Pressure Cooling Pad because honestly, Alienware's stock cooling usually struggles under heavy load... just my two cents.

You will be able to pre-order or buy it at Amazon, Dell when officially released.
