Does anyone know a way to actually get reliable price drop alerts for Amazon because CamelCamelCamel and Keepa have been completely failing me lately? I have been tracking deals for years and usually I just set a threshold and wait for the email but the last few weeks have been a total disaster. I am trying to snag a Sony A7 IV for my studio in Chicago before a big wedding shoot I have scheduled for next month and I missed a $400 discount yesterday because Camel didnt even ping me. I checked the price history later and it showed the dip but no notification ever hit my inbox. I even checked my spam and whitelist settings to be sure. It feels like Amazon changed their API or something because I am seeing these lightning fast price fluctuations that these trackers are just ignoring or missing entirely. My budget is around $2100 and I am getting super annoyed that I keep missing these windows by like ten minutes. Are there any newer browser extensions or maybe some self-hosted scripts on GitHub that are faster? I honestly dont mind setting up a Docker container if it means I get real-time pings on Discord or something because the standard web tools are just too slow now and I am about to lose my mind... what are you guys using these days that actually works?

Honestly, I feel your pain. I had the same issue a few months ago when I was trying to grab a Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Camera for a gig in Philly. CamelCamelCamel used to be the gold standard, but lately, it feels like its lagging by hours. I missed out on a huge lens deal because the notification arrived three hours after the price jumped back up. Its really disappointing how unreliable these big tools have become. If youre okay with a bit of setup, look into Distill Web Monitor Browser Extension. It lets you monitor specific parts of a page every few seconds. I set it to ping my desktop whenever the price element changes. Also, check out Capital One Shopping Browser Extension because sometimes their internal price alerts hit way faster than the legacy trackers do. It saved me a couple hundred bucks on studio gear last month when Keepa just sat there doing nothing... its the only way Ive found to beat the lightning deals lately.
