Ive been editing forever but my 1080ti is suddenly choking on this 4K multicam project for a client in NYC. Playback is a nightmare even with proxies and I gotta finish by Friday. I have about $800 ready—should I grab a 4070 Ti Super or is something else better for Premiere playback?

I had issues with my old setup constantly freezing during renders, which was super disappointing when I had deadlines. The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB GDDR6X is the way to go for that budget, but honestly, it took me forever to get it stable.

  • stick to studio drivers only
  • check your power cables It didnt solve every playback lag, unfortunately, but its better than the 1080ti for sure...

> should I grab a 4070 Ti Super To add to the point above, im super satisfied with my ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB. It works well and beats the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB on VRAM.

^ This. Also, I totally get the 4K multicam struggle! I picked up the PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB Verto Overclocked on a huge sale last month and wow, the playback is just amazing! It was way cheaper than the ASUS ones and performs identically. Saved me enough to upgrade my old power supply too which I definitely needed... love it when a budget build works out perfectly!
