Honestly, my current RX 580 is dying and cant handle anything I throw at it anymore, its driving me crazy. Ive got exactly $500 saved up to upgrade before Cyberpunk starts stuttering constantly. My logic was maybe a 4070 or 7800 XT, but is there anything else? Im so tired of these drops...

Honestly, upgrading from a 580 is gonna feel like night and day. I've been running 1440p for a while now and you definitely want something that wont choke on textures. If you can find a good deal, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X is a solid pick. It stays cool and the DLSS support is genuinely a game changer for titles like Cyberpunk. I use one and it runs everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat.

  • The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6 is another beast if you want more VRAM. It honestly crushes it at 1440p and usually comes in a bit cheaper than the 4070, which leaves you some extra cash for a new mouse or something.
  • Look into the AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GDDR6 if you see it on sale. It sits right in that sweet spot and the performance per dollar is hard to beat right now. I've had zero issues with my current setup and I'm super satisfied with the frame rates. Just make sure your power supply can handle the draw before you pull the trigger. Dont overthink it, either of these will be a massive jump up from where you are now.
