Need a gpu right now since mine just died yesterday playing cyberpunk. Stuck on a strict $500 budget here in the US and cant decide between the RX 7700 XT and an RTX 4060 Ti 16gb. Mostly playing single player games at 1440p and I want something that wont choke in the next year or two. Which one should I grab before my paycheck clears?

Oof, dying during Cyberpunk is brutal! Before you pull the trigger, what power supply are you rocking right now? That thing matters big time.

  • AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT 12GB: Crushes raw frames, killer value under 500 bucks
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB: Slower bus and less raw power, but DLSS is nice Let me know your PSU and I will tell you for sure!

Late to the party here, but Building on the earlier suggestion, make sure you check your case clearance before buying anything. I grabbed a XFX Speedster QICK 319 Radeon RX 7700 XT recently and it barely fit in my mid-tower. Also check if your power supply cables can actually handle the extra draw. Don't want you getting your new card only to find out you need a new PSU too!

Sorry to hear about your GPU dying right in the middle of Cyberpunk, thats super frustrating. For a strict five hundred dollar budget at fourteen-forty, skip the forty-sixty ti and go straight for the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT 12GB. Here is why it works so well for this price point:

  • Raw performance at fourteen-forty beats the green team easily in most non-ray tracing titles.
  • Twelve gigabytes of VRAM is plenty for single-player games over the next few years.
  • You can often find them on sale right now below MSRP, leaving extra cash for lunch. Been running one for a few months now and am completely satisfied with the frame rates. Grab it and get back into Night City.
