What is the best PC build for playing Sims 4 with all expansion packs? I'm looking for a balance between performance and cost, as I want to ensure smooth gameplay without breaking the bank. I've seen some recommendations online, but I'm unsure if they are suitable for running the game with mods and custom content. Any advice on specific components or overall builds would be greatly appreciated!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I think that i5 is a really solid choice for the brain of the computer. Just catching up on the thread now and wanted to add that if you're planning to use a lot of mods or custom content, you might want to be a bit more cautious with the storage and graphics. I’ve been super happy using the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe SSD because 512GB gets cramped fast once you start downloading all those cute hair and furniture packs lol. For the video card, I'd honestly suggest looking at the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB instead. It’s got way more memory which makes a huge difference for keeping the game smooth when you have tons of CC loaded in a big lot. Also, to keep everything safe and running quiet, I really recommend the Corsair RM750e 750W 80 Plus Gold power supply. It works well and I havent had any issues with overheating or weird noises, which was my biggest worry when I first started building. Its a really reliable way to go if you want to avoid any technical headaches later on. Definitely feel free to ask if you're unsure about any other parts tho!

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-12600KF
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (or DDR5 for future-proofing)
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 1650 or similar
  • Storage: 512 GB SSD
  • Performance: This configuration will handle 1080p and 1440p resolutions effectively, providing a responsive gaming experience.
