I am so done with this 13th gen Intel chip honestly. Every time I try to load into a game like Cyberpunk or even just run some heavy mods on Skyrim it just blue screens or throttles like crazy even though I have a massive AIO on it. Ive tried undervolting and messing with the BIOS for weeks now but Im just tired of babysitting my hardware. I want to switch to the red side and just be done with it but the options for 2024 are kind of confusing me because people say different things.
My logic was that the 7950X3D would be the absolute best because it has the most cores and its the most expensive but then I keep seeing reviewers say the 7800X3D is actually faster for pure gaming? That makes zero sense to me why would the cheaper one be better for high end stuff? Im building around a 4090 and I dont want any bottlenecks at all. I have about $550 set aside for just the processor and I live right near a Microcenter so I can grab whatever is in stock today. Is there something better coming out soon that I should wait for or is the 7800X3D really the king right now? Im just so over these crashes I want to throw this current rig out the window. Which one should I actually buy if I just want the smoothest frame rates possible without the headaches...
in my experience, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core 16-Thread Processor is the king for 2024. dont waste money on the 7950X3D tho... the dual-die setup is just a headache for gaming compared to the single-chiplet design. plus, since you're near Microcenter, you can probably snag a bundle deal and save some serious cash. its the best way to get top-tier performance without burning extra money, ngl.
