So Im trying to place a pretty big order on Walmart.com right now cuz I gotta stock up for my daughters 10th birthday party next weekend and everything is getting so expensive. My budget is like $300 but the cart is already at $340 and I really need to shave that down if I can.
I usually just use Honey because its the one everyone talks about but lately its been failing to find any actual codes that work at checkout for me... like it goes through the whole testing codes thing and then just says nothing found even though I see people on tiktok saying they got 20% off. I also looked into Rakuten but that seems more like cash back later rather than a discount right now which doesnt really help me with my immediate budget problem.
I read somewhere that maybe Capital One Shopping is better for Walmart specifically since they have some kind of partnership or something but then some other reddit thread said it just tracks your data and never actually gives you real coupons that work for groceries. Its honestly super frustrating trying to figure out which one actually works for the grocery and household side of the site and not just for electronics or toys. Does anyone know which Chrome extension actually works the best for Walmart specifically? Like one that actually finds legit codes that dont just say invalid at the end of the wait...
Omg I totally feel your pain!! Trying to stay on budget for a 10th birthday is basically impossible with how prices are now. Honey has been super hit or miss for me lately too so you are definitely not alone there... Heres my go-to strategy that actually works:
> Honey has been super hit or miss for me lately too so you are definitely not alone there... Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been doing this for a decade and Honeys success rate has definitely plummeted cuz their scraping bot is too slow for Walmarts security updates! If you want something that actually sticks, you gotta try the RetailMeNot Deal Finder extension alongside Cap One. Its fantastic when you layer them. The technical side of it is wild... Walmart basically blacklists codes after a certain number of failed attempts in one session, so if Honey tries 20 dead ones, your cart gets locked from any real discounts. My trick is to use Easy Cart Share to send my full cart to my husband and have him try the codes on a fresh session from his laptop. It is amazing how often a code works for him when it failed for me! Literally saved $45 on my last grocery haul doing that. You just gotta be fast and not let the extensions spam too many fake ones at once!!
