I saw Share-a-cart and Basket but the reviews say they're buggy or weird with privacy. I'm so stressed because I need to coordinate a group wedding gift for my sister by Friday.
What is the most reliable one? I'm totally lost...
Saw your post and thought i'd weigh in since i do a lot of group orders. If the big name extensions feel buggy, you might look into CartShare. Its a bit more lightweight because it basically just copies product metadata instead of trying to sync whole sessions or browser cookies. Heres a couple things to keep in mind to make it easy for your mom:
Same boat, watching this
I've been using Share-A-Cart for quite a while now and honestly im really satisfied with how it handles these situations. Usually people get worried about the reviews, but in my experience, it works well and I have no complaints about the performance. It's definitely the easiest one for a Chrome-only setup and it wont cost you a dime. Heres why I think it’s your best bet for your mom:
^ This. Also, which specific stores are you using for the gift? That makes a huge difference for reliability because some extensions only work well with the big players like Amazon or Target. I've messed around with a lot of these and you really gotta be careful. Most free extensions are buggy because they dont update their code fast enough when stores change their websites. If you're on a tight deadline for Friday, I would suggest using Share-A-Cart but you absolutely must do a test run on her computer first. Make sure to pin the icon to her toolbar so she doesnt lose it. One warning tho... some of these can be weird with regional pricing or shipping, so make sure to check the final total before she actually pays. It's better to be safe than sorry when dealing with wedding money. TL;DR: Use Share-A-Cart for Chrome but do a practice run with her today so you arent panicking on Friday morning.
