What is the easiest browser extension for sharing digital carts?

I saw Share-a-cart and Basket but the reviews say they're buggy or weird with privacy. I'm so stressed because I need to coordinate a group wedding gift for my sister by Friday.

  • must be free
  • chrome only
  • super easy for my mom

What is the most reliable one? I'm totally lost...

Saw your post and thought i'd weigh in since i do a lot of group orders. If the big name extensions feel buggy, you might look into CartShare. Its a bit more lightweight because it basically just copies product metadata instead of trying to sync whole sessions or browser cookies. Heres a couple things to keep in mind to make it easy for your mom:

  • Most extensions require the recipient to be logged into the store first
  • Pin the extension to her Chrome toolbar so she doesnt lose it
  • Always test the shared link in an incognito tab before sending Technical stuff aside, these are usually just simple scrapers that grab item IDs. Its not as scary as the reviews make it sound. If the tech still feels too clunky, honestly just sending a list of direct links might save you the headache. Good luck with the wedding gift!

I've been using Share-A-Cart for quite a while now and honestly im really satisfied with how it handles these situations. Usually people get worried about the reviews, but in my experience, it works well and I have no complaints about the performance. It's definitely the easiest one for a Chrome-only setup and it wont cost you a dime. Heres why I think it’s your best bet for your mom:

  • It generates a simple URL or a 5-digit code she can just plug in.
  • She doesnt need to create an account or go through a long setup process.
  • It works across almost every major retailer youd be looking at for a wedding gift.
  • The interface is clean and doesnt have a bunch of confusing buttons. I used it to coordinate a huge group gift for my parents' anniversary and it was honestly a breeze. Even my mom, who usually struggles with anything more complex than Facebook, managed to use the link I sent her without calling me for help lol. Ngl, it’s a massive relief when things just work the first time... basically a life saver. Just make sure you're on the checkout page when you click the extension button to make the link. It’s super straightforward and should definitely help you hit that Friday deadline without any more gray hairs!
