What are the essential portable accessories that actually make working on a laptop less of a nightmare? I am seriously losing my mind because my current setup is just a disaster. I work at a coffee shop in downtown Seattle three days a week and my neck is killing me, plus my trackpad has been acting super glitchy lately which is making me want to throw the whole thing out a window. Im looking to spend maybe 100 bucks to get organized. Should I just get a foldable stand and a cheap mouse or is there something better I am missing? My bag is already heavy enough so it cant be bulky gear. Does anyone have anything that actually works?
I've tried many setups over the years and honestly, those foldable stands can be pretty flimsy. In my experience, stick to something sturdy if you want your gear to survive.
Oh man, coffee shop work is brutal on the neck! Are you using a specific laptop brand, like a MacBook or a Windows machine? TL;DR: Grab a Roost Laptop Stand V3 if you want ultra-lightweight, and swap your trackpad for a Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 Bluetooth. That combo is super slim and barely adds any weight to your bag. Seriously, my posture thanked me instantly!
Honestly, I totally feel your pain! I used to suffer from constant neck strain until I started bringing these two essentials. They changed my life!
