My old laptop literally caught fire last week during a zoom call so I had to rush out and grab a new MacBook Air M3 to survive my upcoming final exams. Im stressing out because I spent way too much money on the machine itself and now im scared im gonna damage it or just be super unproductive without the right gear. I spent hours reading forums and some people swear by these fancy aluminum vertical stands while others say they just scratch the finish and you should use a cooling pad instead but my desk in this tiny dorm room is already so crowded I barely have room for a coffee cup. I also saw a ton of posts about mechanical keyboards but isnt that overkill for just writing papers and watching netflix? I have like maybe 100 bucks left to spend on accessories before my next paycheck and I really dont wanna waste it on junk that I wont actually use.
