Is it possible to transfer a Walmart cart to another account?

So I have been spending the last three hours meticulously putting together this massive order on the Walmart app because I am trying to get all the supplies for my kid's birthday party next weekend. I'm talking like 40 different items, snacks, decorations, the whole deal. The budget is super tight and I wanted to make sure I didnt miss any of the coupons I had saved to my main account. The problem is my spouse is the one who is actually going to be doing the grocery pickup because they have the larger vehicle, but the cart is currently saved under my login on my phone.

I went down a rabbit hole on Google trying to figure this out. I saw some old Reddit threads saying you could just share a link to the cart, but then I read a newer post from like last month that says that feature was removed or updated and now you can only share lists, not the actual active cart. Im honestly pretty confused because some people say just logging into the same account on their phone works, but we have different 2FA set up and I really dont want to mess with that right now if I can avoid it.

Is there literally any way to move this cart over? It would be such a pain to manually search for and re-add every single one of these items on their phone, especially since a couple of these things were clearance finds that I probably wont be able to track down again if I close the app. Does the share cart button actually exist anymore or am I just blind? If I just give them my login info, will it kick me out or lock the account since we are in different parts of the city right now? Im just trying to get this sorted before the pickup slot I booked disappears...

Oh man, I totally feel your pain! Three hours is a massive time sink. Honestly, the direct share button is basically gone, which is such a headache. My partner and I use Easy Cart Share to sync up our shopping so we don't buy the same stuff twice, and it saves me so much stress!

  • Log into your account on their phone
  • Use a shared password manager
  • Dont worry, it wont lock you out!

I saw some old Reddit threads saying you could just share a link to the cart Yeah, the share link functionality is definitely deprecated. From a technical standpoint, Walmart moved away from persistent session-based carts to a more fragmented backend architecture. It's frustrating but honestly, logging into the same account is your only stable path here. Don't worry about the 2FA, it usually triggers once and then stores the device token. If you're worried about clearance items, just take screenshots of the SKU numbers before you do anything. It makes finding those budget-friendly deals much easier if they drop out. You'll be satisfied with the result if you just sync the login, as it's the only way to retain those specific cart state variables.
