How to resolve scheduling conflicts during family holiday planning?

We have been doing the whole big family Christmas thing for like a decade now, usually rotating between houses, but this year everything is falling apart. I thought I had it all figured out using a shared Google Calendar for the 14 of us—you know, setting up events with reminders and color-coding by household—but my brother just booked a flight to Aspen for the exact weekend we usually do the gift exchange. Now my parents are annoyed, my sister is saying she cant switch her shifts at the hospital, and my entire logic of syncing everyone up digitally feels useless if people just ignore the invites anyway.

I really need to lock down a firm date before December 1st because I have a strict budget for travel and need to snag these plane tickets from Chicago to Phoenix before the prices spike even more. My current plan is just to send out a mass text and force a vote, but that feels so aggressive? I dont know, maybe I should try a doodle poll or just call everyone individually, but I honestly dont have the time to chase down 14 adults. Has anyone dealt with this level of scheduling chaos before and actually managed to get everyone in the same room?

Doodle polls are a lifesaver! I used it for our massive family reunion last year and it honestly stopped the chaos instantly. Just set it up and let them vote!
