How do you share a gift registry without seeming rude to family?

Ugh, honestly I am at my wits end with this whole wedding planning thing. My fiance and I have been living together in a tiny apartment in Chicago for like three years now, so we really dont have room for more junk, but my parents and aunts keep pestering me about what to get us. I dont want to be the person who sends out a link and looks like a total gift-grabber because that feels so tacky, you know? Like, I know we need things, but asking for them feels weird.

Ive been looking at a few ways to handle this. I thought about using Zola since it seems really popular, or maybe just making a simple Google Doc list if that feels less aggressive? Or there is this other site called Blueprint that lets you add cash funds, but Im worried that asking for money specifically is even ruder. I have about two months until the big day and I just need people to stop buying us random kitchen gadgets we dont have space for. How do you actually bring up a registry without coming across as entitled or rude to family members who just want to be helpful?

Stumbled upon this discussion and totally get the struggle. Dealing with registry logistics is basically a data management problem. When I was setting up my own household, I found that centralizing everything into one interface prevents those redundant physical gifts that end up just taking up space. It honestly doesn't feel tacky if the registry is framed as a helpful tool for guests rather than a demand list. I personally like using Share Product Wishlist for organizing things since it keeps the metadata for items clear and easy to track. It works well if you want to avoid getting duplicates or stuff that just doesn't fit your apartment's footprint. If you prefer a platform that handles cash funds, just look into any major wedding aggregator—they are all pretty standard in terms of functionality. You really cant go wrong with the big names, just pick one that lets you categorize items so your family feels like they are contributing to your actual space constraints.

Honestly, just send the link! I love using Share Product Wishlist because it keeps everything organized. It saves so much money and avoids all that clutter in your apartment!
