sorry if this is a dumb question but my family is totally driving me nuts trying to figure out christmas presents this year... every single november my mom starts a massive group text asking what everyone wants and honestly its just total chaos with links getting lost screenshots being sent that nobody can open and people accidentally buying the exact same thing for my 9 year old niece ugh. I live in Ohio and most of my family is spread out across three different time zones now so we cant just sit down with pen and paper like we used to. Im literally the least tech savvy person in my house my kids always have to help me fix my phone and stuff so I need something super simple that even my 70 year old dad can figure out without calling me crying. Does anyone know a good app for creating and sending family gift lists where we can all add stuff and maybe check things off so duplicates dont happen? We dont wanna spend a bunch of money on some fancy premium app either free is definitely better since we are on a tight holiday budget this year. What are people actually using these days that isnt too confusing?
I think Elfster is what most families use for this sort of thing, though I am always a bit cautious about privacy with these random apps. It is free and lets people claim items so you do not get duplicate gifts. Not sure if your dad will find it too complicated, but it is probably worth a quick look before things get too crazy.
