Ive used Todoist for ages but the sync is laggy lately. I need a solid browser extension for grocery lists before a big family BBQ this Saturday.
What extensions actually handle live syncing without glitching when two people are editing at once?
To add to the point above: Keep is absolutely fantastic for reliability! I always worry about losing data with smaller extensions, but Keep is super safe and syncs instantly every single time. Love it! Before you go all in for the BBQ prep, I have a couple quick clarifying questions:
> What extensions actually handle live syncing without glitching when two people are editing at once? Ngl I have this exact same issue... been dealing with it for like 3 months now and still nothing works. Most of the time I am pretty satisfied with basic browser tools and I have no complaints about the interface designs, but the live sync is always a mess. It is so frustrating because I have spent so much time digging through Chrome Web Store reviews and other tech communities looking for a solution that actually works well when two people are editing. Honestly I am happy that I am not the only one losing my mind over this tho. Even tried a few paid options because I thought the extra cost might mean better servers, but they still lag. Basically it is just a waste of money. If you find a tool that actually handles the BBQ prep without glitching please share because I am totally stuck.
Just catching up on this. If you want something that wont fail you during the BBQ rush, you might want to consider AnyList. I would suggest looking into it because their sync engine is way more robust than the standard web-based wrappers. Be careful with extensions that claim real-time sync but only refresh every few minutes... thats how you end up with double the amount of burgers you actually need. Make sure to verify that the iOS companion app has background refresh enabled or the list might not update while you are walking through the aisles. For actually gathering items from different sites into a shareable format, I have used Share Product Wishlist lately and it is quite solid for reliability. It manages to keep things synced across different browsers without the usual lag. Just stick to a dedicated tool for the actual shopping part and you should be fine.
I agree Todoist's currently unreliable. After trying many, in my experience Google Keep is the most methodical, cost-effective solution for family syncing.
