Is there a Chrome extension that actually syncs a grocery list in real-time between devices? Ive been using Keep for years but the sync lag is driving me insane when my partner and I are hitting different aisles at the store. We really need something that updates instantly because Im tired of buying double the milk or missing half the stuff on the list while Im wandering around the local Kroger. We dont have a huge budget for some fancy subscription service, just need something basic that works without freezing up. Does anyone know of a plugin that isnt super buggy or full of ads? Everything I find seems outdated or way too complicated for what we need.

Honestly, I feel your pain. I went through the exact same thing with Keep a few years back. The sync lag is just brutal when you are trying to coordinate in a store. In my experience, most Chrome extensions for this are clunky or just wrappers for websites that dont actually offer real-time push updates. Instead of hunting for an extension, you really should just use AnyList. I know, it is not a plugin, but it is the gold standard for grocery syncing. My partner and I have been using it for ages and I have never seen it lag. You can both have the app on your phones and it hits the server instantly. No more double buying milk. Plus, it has a desktop web interface you can pin as a shortcut in Chrome if you really need it on your laptop. Its free for the basic version which covers everything you mentioned, and it even lets you categorize items by aisle which honestly saves me so much time when Im walking around the store. I tried many of those dedicated browser extensions back in the day and they were always full of ads or broke after a Chrome update. Trust me, just switch to an app that was actually built for this task. It will save you so much frustration at the register.
