Does anyone know a reliable app that actually tracks Walmart price drops? I keep hearing about Honey and CamelCamelCamel but Honey seems mostly geared towards Amazon and random browser coupons, and CamelCamelCamel is basically just for Amazon too, which is super annoying since I do like 90 percent of my shopping at Walmart.
I am trying to furnish my new apartment on a total shoestring budget and I have a list of about 15 things like a microwave, air fryer, and some bedding that I really need to grab but I refuse to pay full price for them. I am in the US and I have until the end of the month to get this sorted before my lease starts. I tried using the Walmart app's save for later feature but it doesnt notify me when things go down, it just sits there and does nothing which is driving me crazy. Is there something else out there that actually sends a push notification or an email the second the price hits a certain point? I really dont want to spend money on a subscription service either, just something free that gets the job done.

I feel your pain. Walmart shopping is a whole different beast compared to Amazon, and most of those generic trackers just dont handle the way Walmart flips their pricing around. Over the years, I have tried just about every hack in the book because paying retail for appliances is honestly a scam. Since you are furnishing a whole apartment, have you thought about whether you want things shipped or if you are willing to drive to different stores? Also, are you looking for just price drops on items sold and shipped by Walmart, or are you trying to track those third-party sellers too? Typically, I use a few tricks to keep costs down:
- Check if you are okay with buying open-box items or store display models, as those often hit deep discounts without needing a tracker.
- I usually just set a target price on PriceDropCatch and it pings me when the price actually hits that mark. It is saved me a ton on smaller kitchen gadgets. Keep in mind that if you are hunting for specific brands like Ninja or Instant Pot, sometimes waiting for the seasonal sales events beats any app notification. Do you have a specific dollar amount you are trying to stay under for the microwave or is it just about getting the lowest possible price?

Honestly, skip those Amazon-focused tools. I have been using BrickSeek for years and it works well for tracking Walmart inventory and price drops. Just put in your zip code and the product SKU. It is super reliable for finding those clearance deals before they are gone. No complaints here, it has saved me a ton of cash while furnishing my place.

Honestly, I have the exact same issue trying to furnish my place on a budget. I have been hunting for a microwave deal for like three months now and it is driving me absolutely insane that nothing seems to ping me when the price finally drops. Seriously, why is this so hard?
