Hey everyone! I’ve been trying to keep up with all the new AI video editing software coming out lately, but it’s honestly getting a bit overwhelming. I'm looking for tools that can actually speed up my workflow, especially for things like auto-captions, smart cropping for social media, and background noise removal. I've tried a couple of basic plugins, but they either felt too clunky or the results looked a bit off. Does anyone have go-to AI tools that are actually worth the subscription? I'm mainly focused on YouTube content and reel creation, so efficiency is a big priority for me. What are your favorite AI tools for video editing that genuinely save you hours of work?

In my experience, AI tools are basically mandatory now if you want to scale without burning out.

Honestly, if youre on a budget, you gotta look at CapCut Desktop. i've used high-end suites for a decade, but for Reels and YouTube, CapCut is highkey the fastest. The auto-captions are solid and the base version is free, but the CapCut Pro Monthly Subscription (about $7.99/mo) adds way better noise removal. Also, check out Descript Creator Plan for about $12/mo. It handles the 'smart cropping' for social really well and lets you edit by deleting text, which is a HUGE time saver. For audio, Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech is basically magic and still has a free tier. Tbh, these three will cover 90% of what you need. gl!

Seconding the recommendation above! I think Veed.io Pro Plan is actually REALLY good for:
- Clean exports
- Auto-captions
It’s budget-friendly and seems easier for beginners? idk gl!

Honestly, I've been doing a ton of digging into the market lately because I felt so behind. Even though I've used PCs forever, the AI side of video is like learning a whole new language, right? I tried to map out how the different brands are competing because it's pretty wild how fast it's changing. From what I've seen in my "research" so far:
1. The big legacy players like Adobe and Blackmagic are taking such different paths. Adobe Premiere Pro is going really hard on integration for generative stuff, while DaVinci Resolve seems way more focused on the heavy-lifting technical stuff like magic masks and depth maps. I think?
2. Then you have the newer crowd like Runway Gen-2. They seem to be basically leading the market in creative risks, like generating video from scratch rather than just fixing clips. It's kinda scary how good it's getting.
3. I also looked at Wondershare Filmora because they're everywhere. They seem to be aiming for that middle ground where it's easy for beginners but has more "pro" features than some mobile apps. It's sooo overwhelming to choose. Do you guys think it's better to stick with one big brand or just use a bunch of different tools for specific tasks? I'm still trying to find my rhythm with it all!

AI literally changes everything by automating the tedious stuff like keyframing which usually kills ur productivity. Quick question tho—are you looking for standalone browser tools or plugins for ur current NLE? Finding a budget tool can save you $300+ annually. I love CapCut Desktop Pro ($7.99/mo) cuz it's AMAZING for social crops and captions. Let me know ur workflow so I can give better technical advice! 👍
