Im trying to get my act together for my home office setup since I finally have some cash set aside, maybe like 300 bucks total, but everything keeps fluctuating. Im looking at a specific chair and a monitor and the prices on Walmart just keep jumping around like crazy. I really need to lock these down before my remote work project kicks off in two weeks, otherwise Im gonna be stuck working from my kitchen island again which is just brutal on my back.
Ive been looking at Keepa for Amazon stuff but it doesnt seem to play nice with Walmart. So I was thinking maybe I should try Honey or maybe CamelCamelCamel if that even works outside of Amazon? I looked into PriceTracker too but the reviews look kinda sketchy and Im worried about malware or whatever. My logic was that a simple extension would just ping me when it hits my target price but I honestly dont know which ones are actually legit versus just harvesting my data. If anyone has experience with these or knows if one is better for Walmart specifically I could really use the pointer because I dont have time to manually check every morning before work...
Honestly, I had nothing but bad experiences with most of those random extensions. They feel super intrusive and half of them dont even update reliably for Walmart. Honey is just a coupon aggregator mostly, and CamelCamelCamel really is just stuck on Amazon. It is pretty frustrating when you are trying to set up an office and the prices keep moving on you. I started using PriceDropCatch because the history charts are actually accurate and it doesnt seem to track me into oblivion. Before you commit to a tool, I have a couple of questions:
Regarding what #1 said about bad experiences, totally agree! I switched to Visualping for my monitor, and it is amazing! It just monitors the actual webpage elements for price changes. Fantastic tool!
