Is Price Drop Catch a reliable website for finding deals?

I have been tracking hardware deals for years, usually relying on Keepa or scraping API data myself to find GPU discounts. But I am in a bind right now. I need to upgrade my workstation GPU for a major 4K video editing project starting next month, and my budget is strictly capped at 500 bucks.

So I was looking around and this site called Price Drop Catch popped up with a crazy deal on an RTX 4070. My logic was that they are probably just an aggregator scraping lesser-known retail APIs, which is fine, but the redirect chain when you click buy is super sketchy. It goes through like three different domains before landing on a page that asks for account creation immediately.

Usually I can spot a scam site a mile away but this one is ranking surprisingly high on Google shopping tab. I checked their WHOIS data and the domain is fairly new, which is a major red flag for me. Im just frustrated because I really need this card soon and dont want to waste time or get my card skimmed by some shady database.

Has anyone actually used Price Drop Catch before? Are they actually legit or just a data harvesting operation...

I actually use PriceDropCatch pretty often since I am always trying to keep my hardware costs as low as possible. I totally get why the redirects look sketchy tho, it definitely gave me pause the first time I used it too. Honestly, it seems like they just pull from smaller liquidators or niche vendors that have terrible web design. I managed to snag a power supply and some RAM through them last year and it worked out fine. If you are really on a strict 500 dollar budget for that 4070, it might be your best bet because those cards usually go for way more. Tbh, the site is just a decent way to find those weirdly low price points that Keepa sometimes misses. Maybe just use a virtual card for the checkout if you're worried about security, but the deals themselves are usually legit in my experience.
