I'm looking for something that offers good protection and is easy to carry. I've seen a few options, but I'm curious about what others have found to be the most reliable and functional. Any recommendations based on personal experience or reviews would be greatly appreciated!
Regarding what #3 said about "Saw this earlier and wanted to help because...", they're spot on about the strap compatibility issue. It's unfortunate how many people buy these cases only to realize their upgraded headstrap doesn't fit. I've tested a lot of these over the years and frankly, the expensive branded ones are not as good as expected lately. They feel cheaper than they used to. Since we've talked about the Annapro and Sarlar already, I'll add that I've had better luck with the Syntech Hard Carrying Case Large for Quest 3S for budget reliability. It's built like a tank and fits almost any halo strap without being overpriced. If you really want to save cash, the Esimen Hard Shell Case for Quest 3S is another solid alternative that won't fail on you. Just dont overspend on the official Meta one... it's a total rip-off for the quality you actually get. Stay away from the flimsy generic ones that don't specify strap clearance or you'll just end up returning it.
Saw this earlier and wanted to help because I’m always so worried about breaking my tech tbh. Quick question though, are you using the stock strap or did you get a bigger one like a halo strap? I've heard some cases just wont fit the bigger ones and I'd be scared to crush the lenses trying to force it shut or something, you know? I’m still kind of a beginner at this stuff but I basically look for whatever is the most padded and safe even if it costs a bit more. I ended up looking at these because they seem really reliable: * Meta Quest 3 Carrying Case - It’s pricey at around $70 but it's official so you know it fits perfectly and won't let things rattle around
* BoboVR C2 Carrying Case - Usually about $45 and feels like a tank, plus it fits those bigger battery straps if you have one
* KIWI design Upgraded Large Carrying Case - Really good reviews for being sturdy and it's like $40-50 usually I just want to make sure my lenses don't get scratched up if the bag gets bumped right? Safety is basically the most important thing for me right now.
