I'm looking for recommendations on the best headphones to use with the Meta Quest 3S. Since it lacks an Aux port, what are the best options for wired and wireless headphones? Are there specific models that minimize audio lag, especially for gaming?

been thinking about your situation for a few hours now and honestly it is such a pain that meta dropped the headphone jack on the Meta Quest 3S. i wanted to ask though, what kind of games are you actually planning to play the most? i think i remember reading somewhere that the 3s can be kinda finicky with some usb-c adapters, especially those cheap generic ones, but im not 100% sure if that was just a software bug or a hardware thing. also, whats your budget looking like? iirc some people said you can get away with using standard bluetooth if you dont mind a tiny bit of lag, but someone told me it ruins games like beat saber completely. if you're trying to keep costs down, knowing your limit would definitely help me narrow down what might actually work for you without breaking the bank.

yea those earbuds with the dongle are probably the smartest move tbh because lag is the absolute worst when ur trying to play rhythm games but i wanted to jump in because i've been trying to keep my setup super budget friendly. since i just got my 3S i basically had no money left over for fancy gear so i had to get creative with the stuff i already owned around the house and it's been a real learning process for a beginner like me - i found that using a cheap usb-c to 3.5mm adapter i had from an old phone worked surprisingly well with my regular wired pair and saved me a bunch of cash
- definitely look for shorter cables or use a zip tie because i almost ripped my headset off my face when my arm got caught in a long wire once lol it was super scary
- if ur using big headphones make sure they actually fit over the strap because the one i got barely fits and it makes my head feel really heavy after like 10 minutes honestly just trying to use what u already have is the way to go if ur broke like me but i do wonder if the wireless ones feel way lighter? i'm still figuring all this out as i go along but saving money on accessories means more money for games right??
