With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, I’m eyeing an Amazon Fire TV. What deals have you spotted or are expecting for Fire TV devices this year? Any tips on securing the best prices or bundles? Also, which models offer the best value during these sales? Appreciate your insights and recommendations!

Regarding what #2 said about there being plenty of good Fire TV deals... honestly, he is spot on. I have been really satisfied with how cheap these get during the holidays. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, I'd stick to the basic models unless you really need the extra power for gaming.

  • Definitely watch the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K because it usually hits a massive discount that makes the non-4K version irrelevant.
  • The Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite is the absolute budget king if you just want to turn an old monitor or spare TV into a smart device.
  • Keep an eye out for the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series 55-inch which sometimes goes for 50 percent off or more if you get lucky with those invite-only deals. I usually just buy the 4K one even for my 1080p TVs because it feels snappier and the price difference is basically nothing during Cyber Monday. Works well for me and keeps the wallet happy.

^ This. Also, everyone pretty much nailed it regarding the 4K models being the sweet spot. I remember spending way too much time last year benchmarking the wifi throughput and processor thermals on these because I hate when my UI lags. Reliability really comes down to the SOC they use, and those cheaper ones can get a bit toastier than I like. Honestly tho, just head over to Reddit and search for the Black Friday master threads in the cordcutters or firetv subreddits. There is a guy who usually posts a massive spreadsheet comparing every single model spec by spec. I also saw a really good video on YouTube recently from AFTVnews that breaks down exactly which ones are worth the money this year. Just search for his channel and the newest guide will be right there... it is way more detailed than anything I could write out here.
