I’m looking for a reliable protective sleeve that comes in sizes for the whole iPad lineup. I need something with a soft interior and decent drop protection, especially for travel. Do you prefer hardshell sleeves or cushioned fabric ones? Does anyone have a brand recommendation that fits an iPad with a Magic Keyboard attached?

yo, honestly for ur situation, I would suggest going with a cushioned fabric sleeve over a hardshell. In my experience, they're way more flexible for fitting the keyboard. I've been using the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tomtoc+360+Protective+Sleeve+for+11-inch+ iPad+Pro+with+Magic+Keyboard&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">tomtoc 360 Protective Sleeve for 11-inch iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and it's seriously great. It has these *CornerArmor* pads that help with drops, which is basically what you want for travel. On the other hand, something like the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Smatree+Hard+Shell+Carrying+Case+for+12.9-inch+ iPad+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Smatree Hard Shell Carrying Case for 12.9-inch iPad Pro gives you more crush protection if ur bag is packed tight, but it feels a bit bulkier. Tbh, the tomtoc interior is softer so it won't scratch anything. Plus, they make them for the whole iPad lineup. So yeah, I guess it depends on how much space you have?? Hope that helps, gl!

Im so satisfied with <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=JETech+Tablet+Sleeve+Case+for+11-inch+ iPad+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">JETech Tablet Sleeve Case for 11-inch iPad Pro. * Fits keyboards well
* Soft lining Its basically a great value and feels safe for travel since im cautious about drops!

Seconding the recommendation above! Fabric is honestly way better. I bought a cheap hardshell once and it literally scratched my hinge... sooo disappointing. For something budget-friendly but still solid, maybe check out the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Comfyable+Tablet+Sleeve+for+ iPad+Pro+11-inch+with+Magic+Keyboard&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Comfyable Tablet Sleeve for iPad Pro 11-inch with Magic Keyboard. It has that soft lining you need and actually fits the keyboard bulk without being too tight. Plus, it's way cheaper than those boutique brands. Lesson learned: padding > hard plastic!

Its honestly frustrating how many sleeves claim to be protective but are basically just thin fabric envelopes. Most fabric options I've tried have been disappointing because they offer zero crush protection, which is vital if you're traveling. The Magic Keyboard adds significant weight and a flimsy sleeve just wont cut it if your bag gets tossed around. Unfortunately, those soft fabric brands are not as good as expected when it comes to protecting the corners from a real drop. Reliable protection requires something like the Incase Icon Sleeve with Tensaerlite for iPad Pro. This one is built with a molded bumper frame instead of just layers of foam, providing a rigid perimeter that doesnt just collapse on impact. For heavy-duty travel, check out the Thule Gauntlet Case for 11-inch iPad Pro. The semi-rigid exterior prevents the tablet from bending under pressure in a packed suitcase. Real protection needs structural integrity, but most people skip that for aesthetics... big mistake imo.
