Building a PC with a 9800X3D. What SSD gives the best performance? Aiming for a budget around $300.

Been running a Samsung 990 Pro for a year with mine. Zero regrets. Got it for $170 on sale; best bang for the buck I've seen in ages for sustained reads/writes.
For 9800X3D, consider sustained write speeds. In my experience, Phison E18-based drives are solid. Check the controller; some throttle after ~100GB writes.
For that CPU, a decent Samsung 970 EVO Plus will be plenty fast, and save you cash!
DIY'er here! Samsung 990 Pro is awesome, but consider cloning your old drive yourself – saves big bucks!
Samsung's 990 Pro. Data loss protection is key; learned that the hard way after '08!
Skip the hype. Samsung 990 Pro. Had mine for 2 years, still blazing fast, zero issues.
Forget chasing marginal gains. Samsung's 990 Pro hits the sweet spot. Solid performance around $180, leaving budget for other upgrades. Focus on overall system balance.
