I'm looking to upgrade my computer by transferring my operating system and files from my old hard drive to a new SSD. Can anyone guide me through the process? What tools do I need, and are there any important steps I should follow to ensure everything goes smoothly? Any tips on what to do with my old hard drive afterward would also be appreciated!

- Back up all important data first
- Choose your transfer method:
- Clone the drive (recommended): Use software like Macrium Reflect Free or Clonezilla
- Fresh installation: Install OS on new SSD, then manually transfer data

For a basic clone to SSD:
- Connect both drives to your PC

- Set SSD as boot drive in BIOS
