ASUS is definitely the way to go at that price point. I've been tinkering with these builds for years and honestly, that $1500 range is the absolute sweet spot for value. In my experience, the real win is how easy they are to upgrade yourself. Buying the base configuration and just tossing in an extra stick of RAM later is way cheaper than paying for the higher factory specs... plus it's a good excuse to check out the cooling system.
