Want to get an RTX 5090 GPU for AI.
> Reliability is basically everything when your doing long training runs I totally agree with this. Finding stock is one thing, but making sure you dont end up with a card that throttles or dies under heavy AI workloads is another story. Based on the market research Ive been doing lately, the different brands have some pretty distinct pros and cons that you should consider before you pull the trigger on whatever happens to be in stock. Here is what I have found so far:
Big if true
Tbh, finding these things for AI builds has been a total nightmare lately. When I was setting up my local rig, I spent forever just making sure I wasn't getting some grey-market card with zero manufacturer warranty. Reliability is basically everything when your doing long training runs, and you dont want to risk a $2k+ investment on a sketchy site. Before you dive in, I had a couple questions to see what kind of setup your looking at:
* What kind of chassis are you using for the airflow?
* Do you already have a dedicated ATX 3.1 PSU that meets the 12V-2x6 industry standards? Honestly, idk if I'd trust any of the current stock without verifying the power delivery specs first. Some of the early units had issues with transient spikes that could easily trip a lower-end PSU if the VRM quality isn't up to par.
No where, out of stock everywhere.
