Best GPU for 1440p gaming under $500?

Looking to upgrade my rig for 1440p gaming on a $500 budget. I keep seeing people swear by the 4070 but its way over my price range, and the 7800 XT seems solid but im worried about some driver issues people mentioned online. Is it worth stretching the budget or is there something else I should be looking at?

If you really want to stay under that 500 mark and keep your performance up at 1440p, you could also look at the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GDDR6. It runs cooler and draws less power than most AMD cards. Honestly though, if you can find a sale, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GDDR6 often dips near your budget. It blows the 4060 Ti away in raw rasterization. Don't overthink the drivers, just run a clean install with DDU and you'll be fine.

Honestly, I wouldnt stress too much about the driver noise. I ran an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6 for months and it was rock solid, definitely the best value for your setup. Just be careful with your power supply requirements if you upgrade.

Look for used deals Stretching the budget rarely pays off when this card handles 1440p easily.
