Building my first PC after switching from PS5. Aiming for 1440p/144Hz gaming on AAA titles. Been eyeing the RTX 4070 Ti, but concerned about its 12GB VRAM for upcoming games. Budget isn't mentioned, but want something that'll last.

Honestly I think youre totally right to be worried about that 12GB VRAM limit! Its fine for now but it might struggle sooner than youd like. Like someone mentioned, you want longevity. For a really amazing 1440p experience, I definitely recommend looking at the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB. The performance is just incredible for the price and that 20GB buffer means youll basically never have to worry about textures for years!! Here is why these two are your best bets:

  • The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB offers way more VRAM which is super practical for future AAA titles.
  • The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB is a fantastic alternative if you want better ray tracing and DLSS support. Both of these cards will crush 144Hz easily. Its all about getting the most bang for your buck while staying safe for the next few years. Love seeing people switch from console, its such a huge upgrade!

Future proof ? I think the upcoming RTX 5090 is the best choice.
