I own a Lenovo ThinkPad and I'm in need of a docking station that integrates well with it. I want something that can handle multiple displays and has all the necessary ports for my daily work. Since ThinkPads have specific docking solutions, I'm curious if there are any third-party options that are just as good or better.

Honestly, ive had nothing but issues trying to go the cheap route with third party docks for my ThinkPad. Most of them claim to support dual 4K but then flicker constantly or just flat out refuse to wake from sleep... super disappointing given how much they cost now. Stick to the official stuff if you can find a deal, even tho it hurts the wallet. Quick tip: always check the power delivery wattage before buying. If you get something like the Anker 575 USB-C Docking Station 13-in-1, make sure your specific ThinkPad doesnt need more than 85W or itll slowly drain while you work. For actual reliability, the Lenovo ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock 40AY0090US is the only thing that worked for me without constant driver crashes.
