In my experience, you cant really beat the 5600 for a budget build right now. Ive used many chips over the years and this one always delivers for 1080p. For Minecraft, its basically overkill but that just means itll stay relevant longer.

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core 3.5GHz
  • This is the sweet spot. It usually sits around 130 bucks and performs way above its weight class.
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core 12-Thread
  • If you really need to save every penny, this is fine but you lose some cache which hurts gaming performance a bit.
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
  • Only grab this one if you arent buying a separate graphics card. Just make sure your motherboard is compatible out of the box... sometimes those older ones need a bios update. Ngl, the 5600 is probably the best value chip AMD has made in years for basic 1080p gaming.
