Hello, I'm planning to use it for under $100 and need a webcams recommendation. What would you take?

For under $100 I would definitely recommend Logitech Brio 4K Pro. The design is solid The performance eliminates lag effectively.

For under $100 I would definitely pay attention to the features, especially if it's about performance.

My clear recommendation for under $100: Logitech Brio 4K Pro. The price-performance ratio is great The software is intuitive and easy to navigate.

Technical highlights: The latest generation offers significantly better performance. Very good compatibility with modern software applications. Can be used without problems for various tasks. Even after hours of work, no performance losses. Very good build quality, even at high usage.

Interesting question! For under $100 it also depends on the budget. What's your price range?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I'm honestly a bit confused how people are finding the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra for under $100... pretty sure that one usually retails for way more unless there's a massive sale I missed. Be careful with those super low prices because they might be scams or used units. I think you might want to consider some mid-range options that actually stay in that budget:

  • Anker PowerConf C200 (heard the 2K quality is decent)
  • Logitech C920 (the old reliable, tho its kinda dated)
  • NexiGo N660P Not sure but I think the Anker software is way less bloated than Synapse or G-Hub. Just make sure to check if you need a privacy shutter built-in because not all of them have it. I would suggest looking at real user videos instead of just the marketing pics too... they always look better in the ads than in a dark room.

The Anker PowerConf C200 is probably the most realistic pick for a sub-$100 budget. Been using mine for a while now and honestly it handles low light way better than most mid-range cams I have tried in the past. Here is why I like it:

  • built-in privacy shutter is super handy for peace of mind
  • software lets you adjust the field of view so you dont show too much of your room
  • 2K resolution looks way sharper than the standard 1080p stuff Its a solid choice if you dont want to deal with the $200+ price tags on some of those other pro models. I usually use this Walmart cart tool to keep track of the pricing since it fluctuates on there quite a bit.
