im honestly so fed up with using Elfster or just random group texts for our Christmas list every year because it ends up being a total mess. My sister is always claiming things but then forgetting to buy them or two people buy the same thing twice because someone forgot to mark it as bought on the spreadsheet we tried. I even tried making a shared google doc last year but my dad literally couldnt figure out how to edit it on his phone and just started texting everyone his links anyway which defeated the whole point and annoyed everyone. Honestly fed up with the chaos and im ready to switch to something else before the holidays really kick in next month. I was thinking maybe there is an app that lets you just scan barcodes while you're out shopping or at least lets you pull links from any website easily? My logic was that if it is too hard to add items then nobody will use it but if it is too secret then we end up with duplicates again. We are spread out across three different states - mostly Michigan and Florida - so we really need a central hub that actually works. Does anyone know an app that isnt super glitchy or filled with ads? I just want something simple where I can see what my nieces want without having to scroll through 500 messages...
