im honestly so annoyed right now and need to vent for a sec. my daughters first birthday party is coming up in three weeks, and ive been organizing everything in Chicago basically by myself while working full time. so I was trying to make life easier and set up an amazon birthday registry for family members who keep asking what she needs. my logic was that sharing the link on my public instagram and facebook would save me from answering fifty different DMs asking for ideas. but now my mother in law is blowing up my phone saying its tacky and gift-grabby to post registries publicly on social media?? she thinks its only okay to send privately to close relatives. but like... half my friends on social media actually want to buy her stuff and keep asking where the list is! am I totally out of touch here? is it really that awful to just drop the link in a story or should I really be messaging every single person individually cause honestly I dont have the time for that with a toddler running around...
> making life easier and set up an amazon birthday registry Building on the earlier suggestion, you can check Share Product for better privacy settings. Public posts have mixed data metrics for gift privacy.
oh boy, definitely been there with the first birthday chaos and working full time... youre not out of touch at all wanting to save time, but I would suggest being a little careful with public posts just to avoid drama. MILs love to find things to stress over.
