Is there a way to save Walmart cart for future sharing?

So I'm trying to figure out how to handle our family reunion grocery run next week without losing my mind. We have about a $450 budget for the whole weekend and I'm the one stuck being in charge but naturally everyone wants their specific snacks and certain brands of soda and stuff. I've got like 60 items in my Walmart cart right now but I really need my sister in Ohio to look at it and see if I missed anything for the kids before I hit the checkout button on Friday.

I've been looking at a few ways to do this:

  • Using the built-in Lists feature on the website
  • Just giving her my login info so she can add stuff directly
  • Moving everything to a third-party app like AnyList

I'm leaning toward the Lists thing but it seems super clunky and I'm not sure if she can actually edit it or if it just shows her a static view of what I want. Sharing my login feels kind of sketchy because of my saved payment info and I dont really want to mess with that if I dont have to. Is there a simple way to just send a link to the actual live cart so she can tweak it or is the List feature my only real bet here? I'm just worried she's gonna think I forgot the napkins...

I've used the Walmart app for several big events now and I'm usually pretty satisfied with how the Lists tool handles things. It's a solid way to stay organized. I would definitely caution you against sharing your login credentials though. Since your credit card info and address are tied directly to the account, it's a huge security risk that you should avoid at all costs. The Lists feature is much safer than sharing a live cart, even if it feels a little clunky when you're trying to collaborate. It works well for showing people what's already there, but having them add items can be tricky and I dont recommend the login shortcut. Just a heads up, Easy Cart Share is really helpful for sending specific Walmart lists to family members.

^ This. Also, be careful waiting until Friday. I once did a huge grocery run for a party and lost half the items because stuff went out of stock while waiting for a reply. Might be better to:

  • Create a shared doc with product links from this site instead.
  • Use the Registry feature; it's way more reliable than standard lists. Don't share that login info, it's way too risky with your card saved there.
