Im trying to coordinate a grocery run for my roommates birthday party this weekend in Chicago and its honestly becoming a nightmare. Im split between just doing a big pickup order at the Walmart on North Ave or letting my friend handle it since they have a car, but I cant seem to figure out how to share my current cart with them. Ive got about 150 bucks budgeted for this and I really dont have time to manually text them a list of like 30 different snack items. Is there seriously no way to just email or share a Walmart cart link? Why is this so hard...

Ugh yeah, it totally sucks that they dont have a link. In my experience, try these instead:

  • Use a shared Google Keep note
  • Just copy the cart URL while logged in Honestly, the browser link usually breaks anyway.

Honestly, Walmart does not have a direct share button for carts, which is super annoying. I dealt with this last month for a family BBQ and it was a headache. Here is what I do to stay safe and organized:

  • Take screenshots of the cart items
  • Send the photos in a group chat
  • Keep a running total in notes It works well enough if you are careful. Just double check the store stock levels before sending it off.

To add to the point above: it is super frustrating that Walmart makes this so difficult, especially when you are trying to keep costs down for a party. I totally feel your pain with the grocery run logistics. Honestly, searching for coupons or using price match tools is way easier when you have everything in one shared list. By the way, Easy Cart Share works great if you are trying to coordinate a big group order on Walmart. I have been using it to track my spending and keep my party budget in check, and it has saved me so much stress. You will probably find it way easier to just drop your list there so your roommate can see the total before they hit checkout. Good luck with the birthday party!
