Ive been using the Walmart app for years now so im pretty familiar with the UI but i ran into a wall trying to share my actual list with my wife. Usually we just text screenshots back and forth but were doing a huge grocery trip for a cabin rental this weekend and I need her to be able to add things on her own device in real time. I checked the share icons but they just seem to send individual product links which is useless for a whole list. Does the app even support collaborative lists or do we have to just login with the same email on both phones?

Ive noticed session tokens timeout when sharing accounts. Are you both on the same OS? Be careful with sync lag. I found Easy Cart Share helps when sending lists to family.

I've been a loyal Walmart shopper for years and honestly, I'm pretty happy with how the app handles things once you find the right workaround. For our big group trips, we skip the screenshot mess and just use the same login on both our phones. It works well and we've had no complaints about it syncing up. Last summer when we went to the lake, we were both adding Great Value brand essentials to the list at the same time from different aisles. It was actually super satisfying to watch the budget in real time so we didnt overspend on name brands. Staying on one account lets you see the Rollback deals together too which is a huge plus for keeping the bill low. Just have her log in as you and youre good to go... it's way easier than texting links.

Regarding what #2 said about "." - honestly that pretty much sums up my feelings on the walmart apps collaboration features lol. basically everyone here is saying to just share a login or find a third party tool because the native list sharing is basically nonexistent for real time editing. i tried a DIY route a while back trying to sync things to my own server via a web scraper but it was a total nightmare with their security tokens and session timeouts. i eventually gave up on the custom build because it wasnt worth the dev time for a grocery trip. my partner and i just stick to the shared login now like pythonpilot said but you definitely have to manually refresh the cart constantly to see what the other person added. it works but its definitely not high performance tech by any means. just make sure you both have the latest version of the app to minimize the sync lag as much as possible tho itll still happen. dont expect it to be instant... just pull down to refresh every few mins while youre in the aisles.

Quick reply while I have a sec... ^ This. Also, I have had such a blast figuring out the best ways to keep our grocery game strong lately! It really changed everything for our family road trips once we finally got it sorted. We used to struggle so much with the sync lag on the main app, especially when we were both in different aisles trying to grab stuff... it was super frustrating when things wouldnt show up in real time! But honestly, once we found a reliable flow it became amazing!! I love how technology can actually make chores feel less like work. We started using Easy Cart Share and it seriously made the whole process fantastic because we didnt have to keep logging in and out constantly. It has been so reliable for us. Just curious tho, are you guys planning on using the list just for this one big cabin trip, or are you looking for something that works long-term for your weekly shopping? Also, are you both on the same type of phone or is it a mix? TL;DR: Using a dedicated tool is way more reliable than account sharing if you want real-time updates without the sync lag!
