Ive been doing curbside pickup and online orders through Walmart for years now so I thought I knew how everything worked on their app. But tonight Im in a huge bind and honestly kinda freaking out a bit. My mom is in Chicago and had to take my little brother to the ER unexpectedly, and she forgot her debit card at home while rushing out the door. She needs some basic pharmacy stuff and some groceries delivered to her house tonight. I built the whole cart for her on my app cause shes too stressed to mess with it right now, but my budget is totally maxed out until payday on Friday and I cant pay for it myself. I tried looking for a share cart button or a way to send it to her account like Amazon does, but I am not seeing it anywhere. Can I actually share my Walmart cart for someone else to pay or am I just missing something obvious in the settings?

To answer directly: no, Walmart's platform architecture currently lacks a native cart-sharing API or direct checkout transfer protocol comparable to Amazon's household features. You cant simply push a populated session state across different user IDs.

  • Log into your moms account directly on her phone or browser if she trusts you with her credentials.
  • Save the items to a public wishlist or reorder list, though checkout still requires manual entry.
  • Call customer support or use guest checkout with her card details manually keyed in. Be careful using saved payment profiles across different device IPs because Walmart's fraud detection algorithms might trigger a temporary account lock. I would suggest having her read her card numbers over the phone while you complete the transaction on your end, provided you have her explicit authorization.
