Ive been a serial online shopper for years and usually just stick to the basic amazon list or whatever but man I am finally getting around to redoing my home office and Im honestly so hyped about it!! Ive got about 2k saved up to spend over the next three weeks and Im looking at stuff from like West Elm, some boutique lighting places, and even some random Etsy sellers. The problem is I usually just keep tabs open or use the browser bookmarks but its getting so messy and I keep losing track of stock levels. I used to use this one extension that scraped the metadata but it broke like a month ago and now it wont let me sync across my phone and desktop. I need something that actually handles multiple retailers properly without being a total pain to setup. Is there a legit universal wishlist site or maybe a chrome extension that actually works for this kind of thing and doesnt sell my data to every advertiser on the planet?

Caught this thread a bit late but seriously, redoing a home office is the best feeling ever!! I actually just finished a similar project for my workspace and was totally obsessive about finding a tool that wouldn't compromise my privacy while handling high-end furniture sites. Being super cautious about extensions that track browsing history meant I spent forever vetting different options before I found something that actually felt secure and reliable. Here is what I looked for to keep things organized during my build:

  • Data Privacy: Check the manifest permissions! You want something that doesn't require access to every single site you visit unless you're actually clicking to save a product.
  • Image Extraction: Some sites like West Elm or Etsy have weird image formatting that breaks simple scrapers. You need a tool that actually grabs the high-res thumbnail properly so you can visualize your mood board.
  • Sync Speed: There is nothing worse than saving something on your PC and it not showing up on your phone when you're at the store trying to compare colors or wood finishes.
  • Stock Tracking: A lot of extensions just save a static link, but you really want something that tries to refresh the price or availability details. It feels fantastic when everything finally syncs up across my devices without being a total headache. Honestly, Share Product Wishlist is way better than just sending a messy text list to the family.

2k budget sounds like a dream but honestly it disappears so fast when youre looking at West Elm and boutique lighting. Definitely be careful with those Etsy shipping costs tho, they can really bite you if you arent paying attention. Since youre tracking things across multiple sites, I would suggest keeping a close eye on price drops because home office gear goes on sale basically every other week. I've been using Share Product Wishlist lately to organize my own furniture hunt and its been such a lifesaver for making sure I dont overspend. You might want to consider checking the open box sections on those bigger sites too. Make sure to double-check dimensions before you buy anything boutique since those returns can be a nightmare for your wallet. Good luck with the office, its gonna look amazing... just watch those hidden fees!

Im super satisfied with Share Product Wishlist after my last scraper broke. It actually handles metadata extraction from West Elm and Etsy perfectly. No complaints here, it just works well for cross-device syncing without cluttering everything up... its way better than keeping forty tabs open while youre trying to track stock levels.
