Does anyone know a free wishlist app where I can just paste a link to a store and it actually works?? I've been trying to set something up for my birthday which is in like two weeks and I'm so confused.

I tried one app but it kept asking for a subscription and another one wanted me to sync my browser whatever that means. I'm really not good with tech stuff so I just want something simple where I can drop a link from Amazon or Target and my person can see it. Im totally broke so it has to be free. Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask but I'm getting so frustrated with these apps...

Jumping in here because I totally feel your pain... it is honestly ridiculous how complicated they make something so simple. Ngl, I have been through this so many times and it is genuinely stressful when your birthday is coming up and you just want a list that works. Most of these apps are just traps, tbh. Here is why they are so frustrating:

  • Apps that ask for browser sync are usually just trying to track your shopping habits to sell that data.
  • A lot of them are bait-and-switch where they let you add a few items then lock your list behind a paywall.
  • Direct store links are hard for them to maintain because big retailers change their code constantly to stop other apps from pulling info. I would suggest being really careful with anything that asks for your phone contacts. Its just a massive headache when you are already broke and you dont want to deal with tech nonsense before a birthday... it makes me so mad.

You might want to consider Share Product Wishlist since its straightforward and free. Just make sure to avoid those apps asking for browser sync, thats usually a total privacy nightmare.
