Hey everyone! Amazon Prime Day is coming up and I'm looking to upgrade my home network setup. Has anyone spotted any good deals on WiFi 7 routers during previous Prime Days? I'm particularly interested in brands like ASUS, Netgear, or TP-Link. My current router is struggling with all our devices and I'd love to take advantage of Prime Day discounts. Any recommendations for models to watch out for or typical discount percentages? Thanks in advance for any insights!

Yeah, that search link is a good starting point, but you really have to watch the price history because 'deals' on new tech like WiFi 7 can be hit or miss. Tbh, since the tech is still relatively fresh, don't expect much more than 15-20% off, but that still saves a chunk of change on these high-end units. I’ve been digging into the specs for my own upgrade and here are the ones I’m watching: * TP-Link Archer BE800: This is probably the best value pick. It’s got a solid 19Gbps capacity and 10G ports. TP-Link usually discounts more aggressively than ASUS or Netgear on Prime Day.
* ASUS RT-BE96U: A bit more expensive, but the software is way better for power users. If you want specialized gaming ports and better VPN control, this is the one to wait for a coupon on.
* TP-Link Deco BE85: If you're doing a mesh setup, this is basically the gold standard right now. It handles MLO (Multi-Link Operation) really well, which is the secret sauce of WiFi 7. Idk if you actually have any WiFi 7 clients yet, but even if you dont, the backhaul improvements on these things are insane for older devices. Anyway, just make sure you check the 'Sold by Amazon' listings to ensure you actually get the Prime Day protection.

Ok so, just jumping in here with a bit of a reality check on the reliability side. While the speeds are insane, WiFi 7 is still basically in its early adopter phase, so you really gotta be careful about firmware stability. If your looking for something that wont flake out on you, I’d keep a close eye on the ASUS RT-BE96U. ASUS is usually pretty good with rolling out security patches and fixing bugs, which is crucial when you're running brand new tech like this (at least thats what worked for me on previous generations). Honestly, I’m also watching the Netgear Nighthawk RS700S because their hardware is usually built like a tank. It’s super pricey, but it has better cooling than most, and overheating is a real concern with these high-performance chips. I’d rather pay a bit more for something that doesn't need a reboot every three days haha. Just make sure whatever you grab has a solid warranty because these things are still getting the kinks worked out. Tbh, its better to go with a brand you trust for stability than just chasing the lowest price.

^ This. Also, I am in the exact same boat right now... honestly my current setup is basically falling apart whenever more than a few of us are streaming at once. I have been looking at these deals too because the lag is getting unbearable lately and I need a fix that actually lasts. Gasmin is totally right about the firmware stuff tho. No point getting those crazy speeds if the thing just reboots every few hours while you are in a meeting or gaming. I would much rather have a slightly slower stable connection than a fast one that flakes out constantly. Really hope we find something solid this Prime Day because my house is about to riot if the wifi drops again.
