Im so hyped to finally get a TV for my tiny dorm room on my $300 budget! I tried checking BrickSeek but the local stock info is always wrong lately and the Walmart app doesnt show price history. My logic was if I could see the old price I'd know if this rollback is legit but I'm stuck...

> Walmart app doesnt show price history Its basically impossible lately. My brother bought a rollback TV last year that was actually cheaper the week before... he spent months arguing with support and never got a cent back.

Yo! Getting that first dorm TV is such a huge vibe!! Seriously, nothing beats movie nights in a tiny room when you finally get a setup that works. I totally get the frustration with BrickSeek tho... it used to be the gold standard but the inventory data has been absolute trash lately. Honestly, if you want to know if that Walmart Rollback is actually a deal or just marketing fluff, you gotta try using the Capital One Shopping extension. It shows those sweet price history graphs right on the product page which is a total lifesaver for staying under that $300 limit! I've been hunting budget tech for years and honestly, Slickdeals is my go-to for verifying if a price is actually an all-time low. Just search the model number there and see what people were paying six months ago... it's the best way to see through the hype. Since you're on a budget, definitely keep an eye out for those Onn brand 4K TVs. People love to hate on store brands but for a dorm? They are legit amazing for the price and you can usually snag a 50-inch for way under $250 if you catch a real sale. Don't let the Original Price tag fool you because Walmart loves to inflate those numbers right before a big drop. Just stick to the history tools and you'll find a killer deal for sure. Hit me up if you need help comparing models!

Unfortunately, Walmart makes it super annoying to track history since they hide data from most scrapers. I had issues with extensions lately but honestly, checking PriceDropCatch is your best bet for seeing actual trends.

  • look for prices ending in .00 or .88
  • cross-check against CamelCamelCamel to see the Amazon floor Its frustrating when rollbacks are fake, but keep hunting. That 300 budget is totally doable tho.
